Dr. David P. Summers, D.Sc., Ph.D.

Dr. Summers studied Physics toward his BS undergraduate degree from the University of Houston then received a MBA from Pepperdine University. He went on to obtain a Doctor of Science degree from Belford University and a PhD in Business and Economics from Kennedy-Western University. He is a Fellow in the American College of Angiology, a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, American Chemical Society. He has membership in both American and International Societies of Vascular Surgery, Society of Endovascular Radiology, Society of Plastic Engineers, American Society of Agricultural Engineers and a member of many other professional societies. As a prolific inventor with over 50 mostly medical patents world-wide, he was inducted into the American College of Physician Inventors in 1992.

He has founded and managed three public biomedical companies in the past. Dr. Summers has developed several pharmaceutical drugs, and many medical devices and nutraceutical products. He has performed cutting-edge research in the area of angiogenesis (the growth of new tissues) and formulated an acetylcholine receptor agonist compound that demonstrated re-growth of heart attack-damaged heart tissue (in pre-clinical FDA trials at Texas Heart Institute). He has also developed a new prostaglandin drug called Liprostin™ , which provides slow release of PGE-1 from liposomes (in final human FDA trials) which can potentially improve quality of life for the 10 to 12 million Americans who suffer from the painful and debilitating effects of peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD). Dr. Summers is also the inventor and designer (US Patent 7,074,812) of one of the best-selling non-steroidal nutraceutical product for bodybuilders today, Endothil-CR©, sold in all GNC stores and many other stores around the world.

Dr. Robert Shorr, Ph.D.

Dr. Robert G. Shorr is a scientist and entrepreneur with more than 100 inventions and nearly 200 patents issued or pending worldwide. He has published 150+ technical articles. Dr. Shorr is also CEO for Cornerstone Pharmaceuticals - a partnership for biotechnology development with State University of New York. Dr. Shorr is a highly respected member of biotechnology and pharmaceutical science community, having participated in the financing, business growth and development of multiple companies. His expertise varies from technological innovation, to strategic planning and implementation of research and business development, to the founding, financing and guiding of full commercialization of biotechnology ventures.He holds a B.Sc. in Biology from State University of Buffalo, a D.I.C., from the University of London - Imperial College of Science and Technology and a Ph.D. from the University of London.

Dr. Robert Shorr will be conducting some of MRI's medical trials at State University of New York.
